Obigo Security is an add-on product intended for the Obigo Browser and/or the Obigo Content Manager, but may also be used by other modules that require different levels of security support. It brings security for sensitive transactions, but it is also a fundamental building block for technologies such as Digital Rights Management (DRM). It keeps sensitive data private and unchangeable, ensures that parties involved in a transaction are who they claim to be, and it allows digital signatures that are as binding as pen and ink.

Obigo Security is independent of both the operating system and the user interface of the host device. It is also independent of the target device storage where the certificates are stored permanently. For this purpose, Obigo Security uses an API that is integrated with a target device. Besides being an add-on for the protocol stacks, Obigo Security may also present a user interface, with which all installed certificates may be managed.
