Web Runtime

Obigo Web Runtime is Web technology and Browser based WAC / W3C compliant.

Having successfully commercialized for its customer in July 2009 the phase 1 of Obigo Web Platform and its SDK, Obigo Provides the solutions to build up and ecosystem of web applications market place, sufficing the need of customers to approach the new business on time.




Obigo has 2 kinds of Web Runtime. One is the T10 that is a web runtime based on Webkit rendering components. T10 has RI version on BREW, BMP, WinMo and other proprietary platforms. The other is X10 on Android OS that is based on Android Webkit.

  • T10 is ready for the ARM9 & ARM11
    - Using browser rendering engine (Webkit based on ARM9 & ARM11)
    - OBIGO has RI version of WAC1.0/W3CI API solution on BREW/BMP/ WISE
    - Footprint size : 1.2MB (included Widget Manager)
    - Required Heap : 500KB + Applications heap Size (about 2~3MB/webkit instance)

  • X10 is ready for the Android OS
    - OBIGO has commercial ready version of WAC1.0&2.0/W3CI solution on Android
    - Using Chrome Browser Rendering Engine
    - Footprint size : 3.38MB (included Widget Manager)
    - Required Heap : 7.8MB + Applications heap size ( about 3MB)

Web Runtime consists of :

  • Widget Manager
    - Provides user interface to manage widget contents.
  • Widget Runtime
    - Takes charge of packaging and configuration of the widget and it provides widget packaging and configuration functionality of WAC and W3C. It also provides the certificate functionality to detect forged and falsified widgets.
  • Device APIs
    - Device API is an extended java-script API to allow access to device API in widget. It consists of JIL and W3C API.
